Privacy note
What we keep when you join.
JobToTool is a guide to which AI tool to use for a specific job. The guide is not open yet. This page covers the launch waitlist at jobtotool.com and the free weekly email that goes with it.
What we store
When you join the waitlist we store four things:
- Your email address
- The job you typed, in the field labelled "What do you want to do?"
- The referring page, if your browser sent one
- The time you signed up, in UTC
We do not ask for a name, a password, or a card. We do not run advertising cookies, and we do not use an analytics tracker on this page. The signup form has a hidden field that people leave blank. Automated signups that fill it are discarded and not stored.
If bot protection is switched on, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the signup came from a browser. We do not store the challenge itself. Cloudflare's own privacy notice covers that check.
Why
The email is so we can send the weekly note: what is new, and what is worth switching to. The job is demand research. It tells us which tasks to write up first. It is not a request we answer one by one, and we do not publish it.
What we don't do
We don't sell, rent, or trade this list. Rankings on JobToTool are not for sale. If we run a sponsored slot later, it will be labelled and kept separate from the picks, and it will not change who is on this list.
How long
We keep a signup until you ask us to delete it, or until we no longer run the waitlist or the weekly note. Then we delete the row.
Deletion, a copy, or a correction
Email privacy@jobtotool.com from the address you signed up with. Ask us to delete it, correct it, or send you a copy. We will do that.
Where it lives
The list is stored in Cloudflare D1. The site is served by Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare also sees ordinary network logs for requests to this site. Their privacy policy covers that layer.
This page
This is the whole policy for the waitlist. If the guide opens and the policy needs to cover more than signups, we will update this page and the date below.
